About Ektee Bari Ektee Khamar (One House One Farm)
Ektee Bari Ektee Khamar (One House One
Farm) is a poverty alleviation project through family farming of the
government of Bangladesh. The goal of the project is poverty alleviation
through e-financial inclusion (i.e. fund mobilization) followed by
family farming livelihood and income generation of the under privileged
and smallholders of the country.

Investment in income generating family farming:
The poor beneficiaries developed huge
fund of BDT 13320 million and invested BDT 9000 million USS 115 million
in 680.000 income generating family fanning as given in the table-1. It
is seen from table-1 that livestock represents the highest percentage
(i.e. 28%). Poultry with 27% is representing the 2nd group followed by
the fisheries with 14%. Kitchen gardening covers o7% followed by nursery
with 06%. Importantly 18% coven different types of small fanning and
other livelihood farm and non-farm activities.

Micro savings instead of microcredit. The theme of the project is a new
and exceptional initiative. Need based investment to the family fanning
ensures food production, their livelihood and income leading to poverty
alleviation. If the livelihood sustain the income would persist leading
to sustainable poverty alleviation. The vision 2021 is a mid-income
nation would be achieved if the project works properly. This will ensure
their right to work and right to des Hop them as enshrined in the
constitution of Bangladesh. If the project OHOF can be implemented
successfully, this model would be a universal and ideal practice of
poverty alleviation for the poor across the world in particular
developing countries.
